About Untold Kin

I'm Michael S. I started Untold Kin after researching my own family. One line runs from Australia and South Africa back toward Brest-Litovsk. Another follows my grandmother's family from Wasilków and Białystok.

What surprised me was how much was already online. Digitised newspapers, passenger lists, and civil indexes held most of the answers. You just had to know where to look, try the spellings a clerk might have used, and keep going after the first dead end.

Most people do not have the time for that, and they should not need it. So Untold Kin does that careful search for you, on one question at a time. Every claim in your brief links to its source, and a person checks each one before it reaches your inbox.
